GVN Foundation Australia - Who We Are
The following people are the GVNF Australia team:
Cassandra Treadwell
Cassandra has practiced law for the last ten years specialising in medical law and ethics. She is a Fellow in Medical Law and Ethics at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She co edits the Ethics and Health Law News and is currently researching for a PhD in Medical Law at the University of Sydney.
Cassandra is a trustee on the Orphans of Nepal Trust in New Zealand. She has assisted the team at Global Volunteer Network Foundation to run their annual fundraiser 'Eat So They Can' for the last two years.
Cassandra is married to Phil and they have four children: Mia, Tess, Tai, and Roko. She has a Master's degree in Medical Law and Ethics from King's College, London University. She has also obtained Law and Political Science degrees from Canterbury University, New Zealand.
Keri Chittenden
Keri gained her Bachelor of Business in Land Economics graduating with distinction and went on to work in the area of Property Development. Following this she spent four years travelling independently throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Upon returning to Australia she used her project management skills working as an Event Producer for the leading company in Sydney culminating in the position of Executive Producer and General Manager.
She has produced and managed well over 500 events ranging in scale and complexity both locally and internationally
Keri is married to Peter and is raising their two children and working part time running her own company. She has two sponsor children in Africa and has been actively involved in charitable work through her events experience and personally for many years.
Mike Ritchie
Mike is a partner in KPMG's Sydney office. He has been with KPMG for most of his career moving with the practise from New Zealand to the UK in the early 1990's then settling in Australia in 1995. He leads the Australian and Asia Pacific operational risk management practice.
Mike combines his work experience with a passionate interest in contributing to the community. He has led numerous charitable events at KPMG and participates heavily in external charity events. Mike's achievements include raising $25,000 for the Starlight Foundation through a charity auction dinner, raising with a team of 10 from KPMG $60,000 for the Indigenous Enterprise Partnerships, and raising $15,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Ride For Life program.
Mike is married to Rachel and they have two boys Oliver (5) and Charlie (3). He has a Masters in Business Administration from the Monash Mt Eliza Business School, Victoria, Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand.
Colin Salisbury
As Founder and President of the Global Volunteer Network, Colin Salisbury has an intimate understanding of our programs needs. He has extensive development experience both locally and internationally with time spent in Ecuador, Ghana, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines and Thailand. His background in Community Development and achieving a Masters Degree in International Development has enabled him to not only launch the extremely successful Global Volunteer Network but also co-found The GVN Foundation. Colin brings extensive management, business, and development experience to the Foundation. We are ecstatic that he is the leader of our Board of Directors.
Courtney Montague
Courtney has raised over $100,000 for international charitable programs in Africa and Asia. She has also launched several successful domestic fundraising campaigns, including direct mail appeals, silent auctions and the development of individual and foundation giving programs. Having lived in a number of countries, and receiving a degree from the American University of Paris, Courtney brings an awareness and understanding of international development issues. Co-founding The GVN Foundation has allowed Courtney to fulfill a lifelong commitment to developing solutions for communities in need both internationally and domestically.
