GVN Foundation Australia - Supporting the Development of Communities in Need

GVN Foundation Australia (GVNFA) is a non-profit organisation with a vision to improve the conditions of communities in a sustainable way. It works with communities addressing the root causes of need to help those communities reduce that need in the long term through development activities. The result is that communities become more skilled to tackle poverty themselves and develop a sense of their own ability.

Current GVNFA key initiatives are:

Index GVNFA’s main goal is to channel funds raised through fundraising and donations into self-sustaining initiatives, helping people and communities provide for themselves without having to continually rely on donations.

Accordingly, our aims for 2010:

  1. Continue expanding Aberdare Ranges Primary School in Kenya, providing children with a free and exceptional education of international standard. Stage One building is complete, and school began for the first 120 students on 3 May 2010! The School opening can be viewed on Youtube
  2. Encourage and support self-sustainable orphanages.
  3. Continue with immediate needs of food, shelter and medical care.
